Alistair Stewart OBE is one of Britain's most respected and well known journalists and newsreaders. He has worked in TV journalism for 45 years, including 35 years as ITNs main newsreader (the longest serving newsreader on British television).
Since retiring from ITN, Alistair has been a relief presenter on TalkRadio and dedicates his time to support his many adopted charities, including Kids for Kids (supporting child development in Darfur), he is a Patron of Naomi House & Jacksplace (hospices for children and young adults in Hampshire), an Ambassador for Action for Children and Patron of Brooke Hospital - a charity caring for injured and abused horses and donkeys.
In 2006 Alistair was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to broadcasting and charity.
Alistair Stewart will be interviewed about his remarkable life on Zoom by Chatham & Aylesford MP, Tracey Crouch, on Thursday 25 March 2021. After the interview there will be 30 mins for Q&A with members.
