An Audience with Chris Philp MP (Minister for Immigration)

Kent's Conservative Police & Crime Commissioner, Matthew Scott, has invited a number of senior Home Office Ministers to Kent to talk about the law and order issues that affect us all.

The first of these is Chris Philp, Minister for Immigration.

Immigration is a major issue for Kent, and will increase in importance as the transition period comes to an end in January 2021. This issue not just affects our local communities but also places a significant burden on Kent County Council's finances, as it has to provide accommodation and social care for those arriving daily.

This will be a unique opportunity for local members to hear directly from the Minister about the government's plans to deal with immigration and how they plan to mitigate the affect illegal migration has on our local economy.

An Audience with Chris Philp will be held online (Zoom) on Thursday 22 October at 6pm. Chris will speak about his responsibilities and policies, then answer questions from members.

There is no fixed charge to attend, but we do ask for a donation towards Matthew Scott's
re-election campaign as Kent's Police & Crime Commissioner.
