A Christmas Audience with Stanley Johnson

Stanley Johnson is not "just" Boris' father - he is an accomplished figure in his own right; farmer, former European MP, Member of the World Bank, writer, explorer and environmentalist. Now in his 80th year he still writes extensively on environmental issues. Most recently he has forged another career in reality television, appearing in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, The Real Marigold Hotel and last year Celebrity Hunted.

I am delighted that Stanley has accepted our invitation to appear on a special Christmas Audience with Stanley Johnson. This will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 16th December via Zoom.

Stanley will be interviewed about his remarkable life by Chatham & Aylesford MP Tracey Crouch and this will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A with members.

An Audience with Chris Philp MP (Minister for Immigration)

Kent's Conservative Police & Crime Commissioner, Matthew Scott, has invited a number of senior Home Office Ministers to Kent to talk about the law and order issues that affect us all.

The first of these is Chris Philp, Minister for Immigration.

Immigration is a major issue for Kent, and will increase in importance as the transition period comes to an end in January 2021. This issue not just affects our local communities but also places a significant burden on Kent County Council's finances, as it has to provide accommodation and social care for those arriving daily.

This will be a unique opportunity for local members to hear directly from the Minister about the government's plans to deal with immigration and how they plan to mitigate the affect illegal migration has on our local economy.

An Audience with Chris Philp will be held online (Zoom) on Thursday 22 October at 6pm. Chris will speak about his responsibilities and policies, then answer questions from members.

There is no fixed charge to attend, but we do ask for a donation towards Matthew Scott's
re-election campaign as Kent's Police & Crime Commissioner.

To make a donation and book your place at An Audience with Chris Philp MP, please click below using credit / debit card or PayPal.

Donate to Matthew Scott's Police & Crime Commissioner Campaign

I am honoured to have been re-selected as the Conservative Candidate for Kent Police & Crime Commissioner and I am asking for your support for another four year term of office.

At the time of my election in 2016 I promised no gimmicks or publicity stunts, but to work tirelessly to improve police numbers, reduce crime and make the people of Kent safer and more secure.

Four years later what has been achieved?
  • By March 2020 we will have 450 police officers in Kent and by March 2021 our police numbers in Kent will be the highest ever
  • I have retained all our Police Community Support Officers and we will have 50 new PCSOs by March 2021
  • All police station counters have been retained and I have invested heavily in online reporting. Call waiting times to 101 have fallen from an average of five minutes to 90 seconds thanks to extra staff and resources from my budget
  • I have funded the return of Kent Volunteer Police Cadets with almost 340 young people, many from our most deprived areas, taking-up the opportunity to learn police work and contribute value to their local community.
Over the coming weeks and months we need to communicate our achievements to every household and resident of Kent, but this is a major and expensive project. Kent is the UK's 10th biggest county in area and 5th in population, with 1,784,000 people living in 748,000 properties. We also need to write to postal voters, and where possible deliver a card during polling week reminding people to vote.

My Campaign Team have set a target of £50,000. If we reach this target we will have enough money to deliver a first rate campaign without needing to ask our hard pressed local Conservative Associations to make-up the shortfall.

Please help if you can. Every donation, however large or small, will take us a step closer to our target.
The fastest and simplest way to donate is via credit/debit card or PayPal, to do this please click on the DONATE button below.

Alternatively you are welcome to send a cheque, payable to Kent Conservatives, to Conservative Campaign HQ, Suite 3, Business Centre, Commercial Road, Paddock Wood TN12 6EN. Please write PCC Campaign on the reverse of your cheque.

With thanks and best wishes
