Maidstone & the Weald Conservatives are delighted to invite you to a very exclusive online event:

An Audience with the Home Scretary, the Rt Hon Priti Patel MP.

This will be held via Zoom on Friday 30th April 2021 starting at 7pm. The Home Secretary will be interviewed about policing, immigration and security post-Brexit by Maidstone & the Weald MP, Helen Grant. 

There will be plenty of time for questions at the conclusion of the interview. 

There is no fixred charge to attend but we are requesting a donation towards local Conservative Party funds We are happy for more than one person to watch the same Zoom link, but do please be as generous as possible as we need to raise £30,000 to the costs of our Kent CC election campaign.

Alistair Stewart OBE is one of Britain's most respected and well known journalists and newsreaders. He has worked in TV journalism for 45 years, including 35 years as ITNs main newsreader (the longest serving newsreader on British television). 

Since retiring from ITN, Alistair has been a relief presenter on TalkRadio and dedicates his time to support his many adopted charities, including Kids for Kids (supporting child development in Darfur), he is a Patron of Naomi House & Jacksplace (hospices for children and young adults in Hampshire), an Ambassador for Action for Children and Patron of Brooke Hospital - a charity caring for injured and abused horses and donkeys.

In 2006 Alistair was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to broadcasting and charity. 

Alistair Stewart will be interviewed about his remarkable life on Zoom by Chatham & Aylesford MP, Tracey Crouch, on Thursday 25 March 2021. After the interview there will be 30 mins for Q&A with members.

Malt Whisky Tasting

 


Following the huge success of our pre-Christmas gin tasting, I am now delighted to invite you to attend a tasting of five unique Malt Whiskies. This will be held at 7pm on Thursday 11 February 2021 via Zoom. 

I am delighted to confirm that this event will be also hosted by charming Charlie Echelin from Tonbridge based Maverick Drinks, who was such a success at the last event!

Tickets for this event will be £22.50 for a single attendee or £40.00 for two (sharing the same zoom log-in). Joint attendees will each receive their own set of Malt Whisky samples.

Participants will receive their tasting notes and samples through the post a week before the event.

A Christmas Audience with Stanley Johnson



Stanley Johnson is not "just" Boris' father - he is an accomplished figure in his own right; farmer, former European MP, Member of the World Bank, writer, explorer and environmentalist. Now in his 80th year he still writes extensively on environmental issues. Most recently he has forged another career in reality television, appearing in I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, The Real Marigold Hotel and last year Celebrity Hunted. 

I am delighted that Stanley has accepted our invitation to appear on a special Christmas Audience with Stanley Johnson. This will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 16th December via Zoom. 

Stanley will be interviewed about his remarkable life by Chatham & Aylesford MP Tracey Crouch and this will be followed by 30 minutes of Q&A with members. 

We are asking for a donation to attend which will includea ticket for a free draw to win 3 jars of Andrew Kennedy's chutney! £10 pp would be nice, but please donate what you can afford. 

All money raised will be donated to Chatham & Aylesford Conservatives to help finance next year's Kent County Council election campaign.
